Dunnocks in gardens have experienced shallow declines in most 10-year periods monitored so far.
Shallow declines in gardens for Dunnock overall since the NZ Garden Bird Survey began. Initially these declines were more evident on the North Island, but have emerged on the South Island too, being widespread in the most recent 10-year monitoring periods.
Dunnocks are seen in around one in 10 gardens.
